Brioche Like a Pro!

Want to have a go at this fab new knitting technique? It’s suddenly everywhere!
 
Come along and make a cowl to help you get to grips with the ins and outs of brioche knitting. This workshop builds on the Brioche Introductory workshop, however if you already know the basics of brioche then you’ll get on fine with the learning. We’ll dive right in making a 2-colour brioche cowl/scarf worked flat, learning special techniques for casting on and off, as well as covering increasing and decreasing.
 
We’ll learn the principles behind how the fabric is constructed (both in the round and worked flat), learn to recognise the different stitches in your work and in a pattern (including charts), and learn how to fix small mistakes.

You will also be supplied with a set of notes to take home with you. (Personal use only, not to be shared/distributed).

Materials are not included so you will need to bring:

• 2 x 50 g of any DK yarn (2 contrasting colours that go together – one plain and one self-striping is fun)
• 4mm circular needles – 60 cm length recommended for this size of cowl (If you tend to knit tightly, please bring a larger size needle - 4.5 or 5mm)

• You will be entitled to a 10% discount on any materials for the class that you purchase on the day.

Please Note - Classes and groups will only run if at least four people have signed up.
