Want to knit all your fair isle/stranded knits in the round??

Steeking opens up a new avenue to making cardigans - why not make them like a pullover and cut them. What?! Yes, cutting your knitting is the marvellous way to knit sweaters in the round, then cardigan-ise them.

I know it sounds a bit scary... This workshop will give you all the tools you need to take your courage in your hands and steek your knits, with a professional finish. We can do it together!

For the workshop, you will knit some samples beforehand to provide practice materials for learning to steek.

This workshop will cover:

When and why would you steek?

• Different methods of steeking, including a crochet reinforced steek and a sewn steek (by hand or machine)
• Cutting!
• Picking up for the border afterwards
• Finishing the steek

Required Skills:

• Knitting in the round (to make the workshop pre-knitting samples)

Please Note - Classes and groups will only run if at least four people have signed up. 

To give us time to prepare, please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before the session begins.
