This is a gorgeous organic wool with tweed nubs suitable for a whole range of knitted and crochet projects. It's extremely light and airy with fantastic meterage of 150m per 50g. The gauge is very adaptable, so this yarn could be knit as DK, or a very light Aran but I think knits best as a worsted weight yarn / 4.5mm.
I knitted the Ninilchik Swoncho by Boyland Knitworks using Loch Lomond and it's been a really successful knit. The yarn is very light but sticky making it perfect for colour work. It also blocks out beautifully. I knit the largest size and used 4 x black, 2 x pink and 1 each of the other colours.
I discovered Tryon tubes recently; a knitting game changer, allowing you to easily try on your garment as you knit and an essential part of your notions kit.
BC Garn Loch Lomond is an organic yarn with GOTS certification - a guarantee for sustainability and social responsibility. The raw wool comes from mulesing-free farms in South America and is then spun in Turkey.
